The Saudi Pro League sides preparing offers of over £100 million to sign Chelsea’s best player in a stunning move this summer

In a recent report by football.london, it’s revealed that Raheem Sterling’s allegiance to Chelsea remains steadfast, despite swirling speculations about a potential move to Saudi Arabia during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Last summer, the Saudi Pro League showed keen interest in the 29-year-old footballer. However, Sterling opted to decline the enticing opportunity to relocate to the Middle East, preferring to stay put following a somewhat lackluster debut season with Chelsea. Notwithstanding, he still managed to notch nine goals throughout the 2022–23 campaign, earning him a joint top scorer spot alongside Kai Havertz across all categories for Chelsea.

With a cumulative playing time of 2,668 minutes for the Blues this season, Sterling has showcased his prowess by netting eight goals and providing assists for six others. Having previously plied his trade at Manchester City and Liverpool, Sterling’s transition to Chelsea hasn’t been entirely embraced by all Chelsea fans.

As the anticipation builds for the 2024 summer transfer window, speculations resurface about Saudi Arabia’s renewed interest in Sterling. Nonetheless, sources from football.london affirm that Sterling harbors no intentions of departing from Chelsea at present. The versatile England international, born in Jamaica and boasting 82 caps for the Three Lions, remains firmly aligned with Chelsea’s long-term objectives, with his contract extending until 2027.

Despite his commendable goal-scoring contributions this season, trailing only behind Cole Palmer (12) and Nicolas Jackson (11) in Chelsea’s goal-scoring charts, Sterling has found himself subjected to jeers from sections of Chelsea supporters upon being substituted, much to the bemusement of Chelsea’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

Addressing the press last Friday, Pochettino expressed bewilderment, stating, “I’ve heard reports of Sterling being booed against Leeds United, but personally, I didn’t witness it. Frankly, it doesn’t add up to me; after all, I’ve only been in charge for nine months.”
