“Everyone is gone on International Duty, and that’s why I feel this is the right time to come out to the media to tell the world why Garath Southgate don’t want me in his England squad”- Chelsea Star Raheem Sterling speaks out about why he lost his starting spot to Phil Foden
Following his disastrous FA Cup performance on Sunday, Raheem Sterling’s thoughts on perhaps leaving Chelsea during the summer transfer window have been made public.
Sterling paid £47.5 million to transfer from Manchester City to Chelsea less than two years ago, and it has been suggested that he is already planning to depart.
Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in Sterling, but according to The Independent, he is willing to reject down any offers since he is determined to win over Chelsea fans and has no intention of leaving Chelsea.
Despite his bad weekend, Sterling is said to be ready for the West Londoners to win important trophies and is satisfied with the club.
According to reports, he has “privately acknowledged” that his performance against Leicester was inadequate.
Sterling has made 74 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 17 goals and assisting 14 times.
Following Chelsea’s victory over Leicester, he apologized to all Chelsea fans for the missed penalty.
“I’ll be back ten times stronger to support the team and never give up on the badge,” the athlete was quoted as saying. Come on, Blues.
