These are the six Liverpool players who could leave the club in the summer

Liverpool is on the verge of a dramatic transformation this summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp’s impending departure signaling the end of an era spanning nearly nine years. With Michael Edwards reinstated as chief executive of football for Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, and Richard Hughes set to take over as the club’s new sporting director after leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season, a new chapter is about to begin both on and off the field.

As the club prepares for management changes, Mirror Football has identified six players who may leave Anfield this summer. Among them is Caoimhin Kelleher, whom Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk describes as “world class,” who has well filled in for Alisson during the Brazilian’s recent injury absence.

Thiago Alcantara’s future at Anfield is also questionable, as he has been hampered by injury issues during his time at the club. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, it appears unlikely that Liverpool will decide to prolong his stay.

Joel Matip, a veteran Liverpool defender for the previous eight years, is also facing an uncertain future as his contract nears the end. Despite Klopp’s push for a new contract, it appears like Matip may look elsewhere.

Adrian, who is in the final year of his five-year contract with Liverpool, might leave the club this summer. Adrian’s playing time has been limited as the third-choice goalkeeper behind Alisson and Kelleher, appearing in only two games over the last three years.

Nat Phillips, presently on loan at Cardiff City, may possibly leave Liverpool permanently this summer. With three loan spells in as many years, the 27-year-old defender is looking for a new challenge, with clubs such as Leeds and Blackburn showing interest.

Finally, Mohamed Salah’s future remains uncertain, especially after being linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia last summer. Despite the frequent speculations, Liverpool turned down a significant bid for Salah, who continues to shine on the field, with his spectacular exploits for the Reds.
