Trent Arnold to Real Madrid? Fabrizio Romano speaks
Real Madrid is’monitoring’ Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool! Trent Alexander-Arnold, a Liverpool defender, is out of contract next summer and is attracting interest from Real Madrid.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, a Liverpool defender, is out of contract next summer, and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Spanish giants Real Madrid are watching his status in preparation for a potential deal.
Despite his contract ending next summer, Alexander-Arnold, who was praised as ‘excellent’ by former captain Jordan Henderson, has yet to initiate talks with Liverpool about a new contract, according to Italian journalist Romano. The Reds have not shown a willingness to sell at this time, although La Liga club Real Madrid is keeping an eye on his contract status.
With just over 12 months left on his £192k-a-week deal, Liverpool is in a vulnerable negotiating position if Madrid makes an offer. There is no certainty that the academy graduate will wish to leave Anfield, but the Reds will want to avert a proposal by tying him to a new deal.
