FIFA has just announced VERY SAD NEWS for the Officials and Referees of the match between Manchester United vs Brighton and this have cost them thier Job after not awarding a clear goal calling it Offside

In a dramatic turn of events during the Manchester United vs. Brighton match, a key moment unfolded when United’s second goal was overturned after a VAR review. The incident occurred when Alejandro Garnacho, a substitute who had recently joined the game, seemed to have given Manchester United a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute. Garnacho tapped in a cross from Bruno Fernandes and, following his goal, the United players began their celebrations.

However, the joy was short-lived as the goal was subject to a VAR review due to a potential offside. The scrutiny focused on Joshua Zirkzee, another substitute who was involved in the play. Slow-motion footage revealed that Zirkzee had possibly touched the ball before it crossed the goal line. The footage also showed that Zirkzee was marginally ahead of Garnacho at the time the ball was played, with his knee protruding past the last defender, which placed him in an offside position. Consequently, VAR decided to disallow the goal, and the Premier League’s Match Centre Twitter page confirmed this decision, stating that play resumed with a free-kick awarded to Brighton.

Earlier in the match, Danny Welbeck, a former Manchester United player, had put Brighton in the lead, marking his 100th career goal. Manchester United equalized through Amad Diallo, who was making his first Premier League start of the season. Despite the comeback, Brighton secured a late victory when Joao Pedro headed the ball into the bottom left corner, catching United’s defense and goalkeeper Andre Onana off guard.

The match underscored the impact of VAR in modern football, with fine margins and close calls influencing the game’s outcome, much to the frustration of Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, and his team.
