Upon the announcement of Pochettino’s exit, several Chelsea players, including Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke, took to expressing gratitude towards the departing manager. Jackson joined in thanking Pochettino but also utilized the opportunity to critique Chelsea’s management.
Through Instagram Stories, Jackson shared a photo of himself alongside Pochettino, accompanied by two facepalm emojis. In another post, he uploaded a second picture with Pochettino, conveying affection with the caption, “I love you coach and wish we could spend more time together. May God keep blessing you and your loved ones. I appreciate your guidance and assistance. You’re a real warrior and lion; best of luck to you.”
Reflecting on Chelsea’s season, Palmer emphasized the desire for higher standings than sixth but acknowledged the progress made considering the team’s initial and final positions—13th and 12th, respectively—over the course of the campaign. He noted similarities with the previous season’s performance, suggesting that returning to European competition represents a positive step forward.
