Man Utd fans are in meltdown after spotting Alejandro Garnacho’s agent’s post during Chelsea vs Wolves

The Blues took a 1-0 lead against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge thanks to Tosin Adarabioyo’s first Premier League goal for his new club. Initially, his effort was ruled offside, but after a thorough review by VAR, the decision was overturned in the 24th minute, allowing Chelsea to claim the lead.

However, Wolverhampton responded just before halftime when Matt Doherty capitalized on an error by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to level the score. Chelsea regained the advantage through a goal by Marc Cucurella, and later, Noni Madueke extended their lead to 3-1, marking his fourth goal against Wolves this season.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho, who has recently become a top target for Antonio Conte’s Napoli, has been linked to a potential move to Enzo Maresca’s side. Speculation around the transfer intensified after Garnacho’s agent shared a photo of himself watching Chelsea’s game from the stands. Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano also shared the image on his account on X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage among Manchester United fans.

One fan on X expressed their frustration, saying, “If he goes to Chelsea, it would be the ultimate betrayal.” Another commented, “The Glazers weren’t even this bad… INEOS is selling one of our brightest academy talents just to raise money because they won’t invest their own funds.” Others chimed in with emotional reactions, such as, “I’m not mentally prepared for this,” and, “This is a huge mistake by the club, yet again.”

United reportedly values Garnacho at approximately £70 million, but Napoli’s rumored offer is said to fall significantly below this figure.

Paul Scholes, however, seemed unbothered by the potential departure of Garnacho. The United legend explained during TNT Sports’ coverage of Manchester United vs. Southampton that Garnacho’s sale could be appealing from a financial perspective. As an academy graduate, Garnacho’s transfer fee would count as pure profit on the club’s balance sheet, which aligns with Profit and Sustainability (PSR) regulations.

Scholes went on to share his thoughts on Garnacho’s abilities, stating, “Although he’s young and has potential, his technique can be rough, and his decision-making is often poor. I wouldn’t be concerned if the club decided to sell him. However, I’d be disappointed if they let go of someone like Kobbie Mainoo.”

Scholes further added that despite Garnacho’s talent, finding a consistent role for him within the team has been challenging. Garnacho has made significant strides since his breakthrough in the 2022/23 season, playing 188 matches for Manchester United and scoring 23 goals, including memorable strikes in the FA Cup and Community Shield finals.
