Chelsea Summer target Victor Osimhen has already dropped huge Chelsea transfer hint

Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Manchester United has stirred significant interest, making headlines in the football transfer market. Reports from Italy suggest that Manchester United is keen on securing the highly sought-after striker, Victor Osimhen.

According to La Repubblica, United is prepared to offer a deal that includes both cash and a player in exchange for the Napoli star. Despite facing challenges during their title defense, the Nigerian forward has maintained his impressive goal-scoring record, netting 15 goals in 25 appearances this season. This follows an outstanding performance last year when he scored 26 goals in 32 Serie A matches.

In an unexpected development, it was rumored that Rasmus Hojlund might be part of the deal to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford. However, according to the Manchester Evening News (MEN), Hojlund is one of the four players United has deemed untouchable this summer, making his inclusion in the transfer highly unlikely.

Back in March, The Independent reported that Manchester United had emerged as the frontrunners to sign Osimhen, outpacing Paris Saint-Germain, a prominent French club. Rumors indicate that Osimhen has a release clause set at €110 million (£93 million), which has been a focal point of discussions regarding his future in Naples.

Arsenal and Chelsea, United’s Premier League rivals, were also serious contenders for Osimhen’s signature. Speculations continue to suggest that Chelsea remains interested in acquiring the forward this summer.

Osimhen has previously hinted at his Premier League preferences. In an interview with John Obi Mikel, he revealed, “I don’t have a favorite Premier League team, but I have two jerseys: Chelsea and Man United.” He further mentioned that while many of his friends support Chelsea, fewer are Manchester United fans.

This potential transfer is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about moves in the summer window, with Manchester United leading the race to sign one of Europe’s top strikers.
