“Erik Ten Hag revealed to me something that no other manager has ever disclosed to me during our conversation. That’s not even Pep Guadiola’s mentality.….” Fabrizio Roman reveals TWO secret reasons why The INEOS and Manchester United are keeping Erik ten Hag for another season.

Manchester United has decided to keep Erik ten Hag as their manager after conducting a thorough review of the season. This decision was confirmed by David Ornstein on Tuesday evening, who revealed that the club will now enter into negotiations with the Dutch manager for a new contract. Ten Hag’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2025.

Since his arrival at Manchester United in 2022, Ten Hag has had a significant impact, securing two trophies and leading the team to a third-place finish in the Premier League in his first season. However, the 2023/24 season posed significant challenges, with the team ending the campaign in eighth place—their lowest finish since the Premier League began in 1992. Despite these difficulties, Ten Hag managed to end the season positively by winning the FA Cup last month.

There were concerns about Ten Hag’s job security regardless of the FA Cup outcome at Wembley. Nonetheless, according to MailOnline, the leadership at Old Trafford was keenly aware of the strong backing Ten Hag had from the fans. The Red Army, a major Manchester United fan group, issued a statement last month calling on Sir Jim Ratcliffe to retain Ten Hag as the manager. The statement, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), implored: “Sir Jim, if you care about the match-going fans (and proper Utd everywhere), you’ll stand by our manager. We want him to stay, do the right thing.”

During this period, INEOS executives explored their options, holding discussions with potential candidates such as Thomas Tuchel and Kieran McKenna. However, Ten Hag’s FA Cup victory against Manchester City significantly strengthened his position, convincing the club’s decision-makers that he was the right person to continue leading the team.
