In a significant move during the transfer window, Chelsea has successfully finalized a deal for the highly-regarded Pedro Lima

Chelsea has reached a crucial agreement to secure the services of 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Pedro Lima, surpassing Real Madrid in the competitive race to sign the talented full-back from Sport Recife.

Real Madrid had been closely monitoring Lima, considering him a promising successor to their long-serving defender Dani Carvajal.

Chelsea is now finalizing the intricacies of Lima’s contract. Following the official signing, Lima is set to join Strasbourg, a club in France’s Ligue 1, on loan. This move is facilitated by the fact that Strasbourg is partially owned by the consortium led by Chelsea’s owner, Todd Boehly.

Renato Guimarães, who manages Lima, confirmed to Globo Esporte that his client has reached an agreement on the salary terms with Chelsea. Despite this, some minor aspects of the deal are still under negotiation.

The agreed transfer fee for Lima is approximately £6.7 million.

“There has been progress in negotiations, but it has not yet closed,” Guimarães remarked.
