The young Danish forward displayed promise during a mid-season purple patch but struggled at the beginning and end of the campaign. Remarkably, nine of his twelve Premier League goal contributions came within a prolific seven-week period from December to February.

Beier is also on the radar of Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool. The young German had a standout season, netting 16 goals in 33 Bundesliga matches, which led to his debut for the German national team in the June internationals and a spot in the squad for the upcoming EURO 2024 in Germany.
Alexander Rosen, Hoffenheim’s sporting director, spoke highly of Beier: “Maxi Beier is a super guy and an extremely talented striker. He is incredibly fast, dangerous, and can kick really well.”
Manchester United have reportedly made an initial inquiry into the terms needed to sign Beier. Hoffenheim pointed to his €32.5 million (£27.4 million) release clause as a starting point for negotiations. This clause is set to decrease by €2.5 million each summer over the remaining three years of his contract, during which he currently earns £16,000 per week.
