“He’s exactly the holding Midfielder Ten Hag needs at Man United. Just look at how good he was for his country, I’ll be the happiest man on earth if Man united sign him”- Man United Legend Wayne Rooney has pleaded with united owner to sign £43M Midfielder who is his Country’s Legend and is better than Mainoo, Casemiro and Amrabat

According to recent media reports, Ineos appears to be actively pursuing key transfer targets without being overly concerned about who will manage Manchester United next season.

Yesterday, we reported on news from Portugal indicating that Manchester United is prepared to make an offer for Inacio, even if Erik ten Hag leaves the club. Additionally, an exclusive report from GMS revealed that the club is also keen on signing Inacio’s teammate, Morten Hjulmand, regardless of the managerial situation.

GMS further reported that Manchester United is gearing up for a major overhaul during the summer transfer window, with Hjulmand, a £69 million-rated midfielder, being a top priority. Typically, managers play a significant role in transfer decisions, but it appears that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is asserting his authority by planning to secure key players even before finalizing the appointment of a new head coach.

Whether this strategy will be successful remains to be seen.

Hjulmand is highly regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in Portugal and played a crucial role in Sporting CP’s Primeira Liga title-winning campaign. He has also been selected for Denmark’s Euro 2024 squad and is expected to be in action on June 16th against Slovenia in their opening group match.

GMS suggests that players such as Amrabat, Eriksen, and Casemiro might leave Manchester United during the summer transfer window. In this scenario, acquiring Hjulmand would be a significant boost for United’s midfield. However, the question remains whether they should spend £69 million to secure his services.
