LAST OFFER MADE: Manchester United have make final offer to sign £50m MONSTER,Club wants to release Him now only on ONE condition – Ten Hag is not happy with the condition

Manchester United’s defensive woes from last season, where they conceded a staggering 85 goals across all competitions—the highest in over 50 years—has prompted a clear focus on bolstering their backline, spearheaded by INEOS.

Currently, the club is deeply involved in negotiations with Everton over the transfer of Jarrad Branthwaite. Everton, however, rejected United’s initial offer of £43 million, valuing the young England international at an eye-watering £70 million. This valuation seems excessive given that Branthwaite has only completed one full season in the Premier League.

Financially, United are not in an optimal position. Their initial transfer budget is set at £50 million, and they need to rely on player sales to raise additional funds. With pressing needs for a striker and a midfielder, they cannot afford to splurge recklessly. United have urged Everton to propose a more realistic price if they are serious about negotiating a deal. According to Transfermarkt, Branthwaite’s market value stands at approximately £36 million.

Everton’s valuation seems driven by precedent; they argue that if players like Harry Maguire and Josko Gvardiol commanded fees around £80 million, a similar price for Branthwaite is justified. However, United counters that those transactions occurred before the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of Profit and Sustainability rules, which have significantly altered the financial landscape, making such high expenditures untenable.

Despite initial reports from The Peoples Person suggesting that INEOS might increase their offer, The Daily Star now indicates that Manchester United are ready to abandon their pursuit of Branthwaite and shift their attention to Lille’s Leny Yoro as an alternative.

A source stated, “Manchester United will turn to French defender Leny Yoro if no agreement is reached with Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite. United fear a compromise is unlikely and have prioritized Yoro as an alternative target.”

The club has made it clear that their £43 million bid for Branthwaite is final, and they will not meet Everton’s £70 million demand. Everton, however, are in a precarious position due to the Profit and Sustainability regulations and need to balance their finances by the month’s end to avoid further sanctions.

Meanwhile, Yoro is reportedly more inclined to join Real Madrid, adding another layer of complexity to United’s plans. Additionally, Marc Guehi has been considered as another option, but Crystal Palace is looking to secure him with a new contract, which would inevitably increase his transfer fee.

Manchester United’s search for a center-back is becoming increasingly complex. It remains to be seen whether INEOS’ stringent negotiating tactics will succeed or if they will ultimately need to adjust their strategy.
