BREAKING NEWS ‼️: LIVE FROM FABRIZIO ROMANO VIA STRIKE90MINS CHELSEA HAS SIGN THE DEAL WITH A TEENAGE BARCELONA FORWARD MARC GULU, WHOSE RELEASE CLAUSE WITH THE CATALANS IS JUST €6M. CHELSEA FANS ARE SO DELIGHTED ABOUT THE PLAYER, CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE SPECIAL FORWARD PLAYER IN STAMFORD BRIDGE 🙀😱🙀

Chelsea has started negotiations with Barcelona to potentially acquire the young forward Marc Guiu, who is available for a relatively low release clause of €6 million.

Guiu captured significant attention in October when he made a memorable debut for Barcelona, becoming the club’s youngest and quickest debutant to score a goal. He netted the winning goal against Athletic Bilbao just 23 seconds after entering the game. Furthermore, he scored another goal during a Champions League match against Royal Antwerp, concluding his impressive debut season with two goals in seven senior team appearances.

According to the Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Chelsea has approached Guiu, who might be secured for merely €6 million (approximately £5 million). The 18-year-old’s current contract is set to expire in 2025, and Barcelona has encountered difficulties in getting him to sign a new, enhanced contract. Additionally, Sevilla has shown interest in the promising young forward.

Guiu also shared the title of joint-top scorer at the 2023 U-17 European Championship. He achieved this accolade alongside his club and international teammate Lamine Yamal, as well as Germany’s Paris Brunner and Robert Renak. Watching his younger teammate Yamal, who is two years his junior, advance into both Barcelona’s senior team and the Spanish national team, Guiu might contemplate leaving Barcelona to further his own career development.

Chelsea is maintaining its strategy of recruiting emerging talents. They have already reached an agreement for a £29 million deal to sign Palmeiras’ highly-regarded prospect Estevao Willian in 2025. Moreover, the club has shown interest in other young talents, such as Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran and Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
