FC Barcelona Top star is close to completing stunning move to Manchester United in the summer after he has decided to Leave Barcelona

Barcelona’s center-back, Ronald Araujo, is not a target for the club’s sports director, Deco, who claims that the team has no plans to let him go.
Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been monitoring Araujo in recent months, hoping to take advantage of Barcelona’s well-known financial troubles. However, 90min reported earlier this month that Araujo has no intention of leaving at this time.
Deco reaffirmed this after dismissing the rumors following Barcelona’s 4-2 victory against Real Betis on Sunday.
“He is one of Barça’s key players for both the present and the future,” Deco stated. “We simply want him to be happy; we do not want to sell him; he demonstrates his commitment every day.
“There is nothing to discuss.” What matters is that he is here with passion and dedication.
Although Deco ruled out Araujo’s departure, he acknowledged that Barcelona’s Financial Fair Play situation prevents them from signing new players.
“At this point, we do not have Fair Play, so we cannot sign new players,” Deco remarked. “We are continuously working to resolve the same issue that many La Liga clubs face.”
Bayern Munich recently signed Eric Dier as a backup defender, and Manchester United is not expected to aggressively pursue a new defender until the summer transfer window, once INEOS’ share acquisition is finalized and the recruitment team is established.
Araujo might move in the summer, but if he chooses to stay at Camp Nou, United will likely act quickly to avoid a repeat of their long, fruitless pursuit of his teammate, Frenkie de Jong.
Bayern Munich supporters have started a petition against Matthijs de Ligt’s potential move to Manchester United.
One of the main reasons Manchester United is searching for at least one new center-back in the summer transfer window is the impending departure of seasoned defender Raphael Varane at the end of his contract.
Although the initial cost of acquiring De Ligt discouraged United, Bayern’s willingness to agree to a deal for around £45 million and De Ligt’s readiness to accept a wage cut have renewed interest.
However, Bayern’s plan to entertain offers for De Ligt has faced backlash from fans. By Monday, the petition had gathered over 60,000 signatures.
The petition states, “We all want Matthijs de Ligt to stay at FC Bayern Munich.” He is clearly a top-notch defender, perhaps the best on our team.
“There is a reason he was voted our top player for the 2022–2023 season. Moreover, at only 24 years old, he has a bright future and plans to fulfill his great potential.
“Despite his youth, Matthijs is already quite mature and has a fantastic mentality, which will surely make him a key figure in defense and possibly a contender for leadership in the coming years.”
“Bayern has plenty of center-backs.” For that reason, his proficiency in Dutch, German, and English is highly valuable. At just nineteen years old, he led Ajax Amsterdam to the UCL semifinals.
“We would deeply regret selling Matthijs de Ligt; it would be a significant mistake. We are using our voices to ensure that we do not repeat this mistake.”
This summer, Bayern paid £25 million to acquire Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart, adding another center-back to their squad. Eric Dier has also officially left Tottenham Hotspur, and discussions are ongoing to sign Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.
Manchester United is reportedly set to discuss the next steps in their pursuit of De Ligt and other transfer targets in a recruitment meeting on Monday.
