TUESDAY MORNING DEAL: Player representatives is now in London Carrington to seal move for Manchester United first signing today – agreement was reached last week, club official announcement tomorrow morning

Manchester United are currently negotiating personal terms with Joshua Zirkzee, aiming to finalize an agreement before activating his release clause.

In recent days, speculation around Joshua Zirkzee’s potential transfer has intensified significantly. The prevailing sentiment now is that this deal is more a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if.’

The Bologna striker is increasingly being associated with a move to Old Trafford. Earlier in the transfer window, AC Milan appeared to be the leading contender for his signature.

According to TalkSPORT, the latest update on Zirkzee’s future indicates that United are attempting to finalize personal terms with the Dutch forward before triggering his £33 million release clause. Negotiations with Kia Joorabchian, Zirkzee’s agent, are ongoing as United look to secure his move to the Theatre of Dreams.

Although Zirkzee has already engaged in advanced talks with AC Milan, the 23-year-old remains open to the idea of a switch to the Premier League this summer.

Manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster the striker position to provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund, especially after losing Anthony Martial on a free transfer this summer.

Last season, Zirkzee netted 12 goals across all competitions, playing a key role in Bologna’s impressive fifth-place finish in Serie A.

Arsenal have also shown interest in the Dutch striker, who is currently participating in the European Championship with the Netherlands. This involvement in the tournament might delay any potential transfer until its conclusion.

Acquiring Zirkzee seems like a shrewd move. The transfer fee is relatively modest for a player of his talent and potential, filling a critical need for Ten Hag. The hope is that United can swiftly finalize this deal and then shift their focus to other transfer targets.
