“We have not option. If clubs can’t buy him at the price then this is what we have to do with him. We can’t loan him out again if we can’t sell him”‘-Man Utd ‘reject offer for Mason Greenwood as Sir Jim Ratcliffe who loves Mason Greenwood makes a reveals a new plan for the England International.

Manchester United have reportedly turned down a proposed clause in a potential transfer deal for Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood, after resuming his football career away from Manchester United, has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe. Following an internal review that concluded he would not stay at Old Trafford after charges against him were dropped, he spent the last season on loan at Getafe in La Liga. During his stint there, he managed to score 10 goals in 36 appearances.
Clubs from Spain, Turkey, and Italy have all shown interest in Greenwood. Recent reports indicate that Lazio is making a concerted effort to secure the 22-year-old’s services. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio has put forward an initial bid of €20 million for Greenwood, which includes a sell-on clause entitling Manchester United to 50 percent of any future transfer fee.
Although Greenwood has a contract with Manchester United until 2025, the club is eager to sell him permanently for a significant fee this season. They have, however, rejected Lazio’s offer, as they aim to receive £30 million for the player. Lazio, who are looking to replace Felipe Anderson as he returns to Brazil with Palmeiras, view Greenwood as a prime target. They might need to pay a record transfer fee under their current owner, Claudio Lotito, to secure him.
In a separate report by Calciomercato, it is suggested that Lazio proposed including goalkeeper Christos Mandas in the deal, valuing the Greek keeper at €20 million. Manchester United, however, are doubtful about this valuation.
Negotiations between Lazio and Manchester United for Greenwood are ongoing, with Juventus also monitoring the situation closely. New Manchester United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently acquired a 25 percent stake in the club, had hinted at making a “fresh decision” regarding Greenwood. However, it seems likely that Greenwood will move on from Manchester United.
