According To Reports, Chelsea Are Interested In Signing Serie A Star, As Enzo Maresca Tries To Bolster His Attacking Department This Summer. Maresca Wants Serie A Star At Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are keenly considering a move for Ademola Lookman as part of Enzo Maresca’s plan to bolster the team’s attacking lineup this summer. The 26-year-old forward had an impressive season with Atalanta, highlighted by a spectacular hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen in May. His overall performance for the season was remarkable, netting 17 goals and providing 10 assists across 45 matches, which has inevitably attracted the attention of several top European clubs.

Reports from Calciomercato suggest that Chelsea is one of the clubs showing strong interest in Lookman and are ready to offer a substantial sum close to the €60 million (£51 million) mark. This is a significant increase from the €15 million (£12.7 million) Atalanta paid to secure Lookman less than two years ago, reflecting his rising stock in European football.

Lookman’s career has been quite dynamic. After initially joining RB Leipzig on loan, he made the move permanent in July. His journey then included loan spells at Fulham and Leicester City. During his time at Leicester, he made a notable impact by scoring eight goals and assisting five times in 42 appearances. Despite his success at Leicester, Lookman decided to make a permanent switch to Atalanta, where he has continued to excel.

If Chelsea manages to bring Lookman on board, they would be adding a player with considerable Premier League experience to their squad. Known for his quickness and direct style of play, Lookman primarily operates as a winger on the left side. His ability to both score and assist makes him a valuable asset, capable of injecting much-needed speed and efficiency into Chelsea’s attacking front. His presence could significantly enhance the team’s offensive capabilities, aligning with Maresca’s vision for a more potent and dynamic attack.
