“Yes, He is back. He will get to play the friendlies for one reasons. If not, then the fans will have to say Goodbye to him. I haven’t talked about him before because I was not allowed to but today I think I have every right to talk about him because his now one of my players”-Erik Ten Hag finally explains Mason Greenwood condition at Old Trafford after Man Utd ‘rejected many offers for Mason Greenwood which might see him play again for Manchester United under Erik ten Hag for the first time.

Manchester United have reportedly turned down a proposed clause in a potential transfer deal involving Mason Greenwood.

After reviving his football career away from Manchester United, Mason Greenwood has attracted interest from numerous European clubs. This follows an internal review by United, which concluded he would not remain at Old Trafford despite the dropping of charges against him. Last season, Greenwood played on loan for Getafe in La Liga, where he impressed by scoring 10 goals in 36 matches.

Teams from Spain, Turkey, and Italy have shown interest in Greenwood, with Lazio emerging as a strong contender for his signature. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio made an initial bid of €20 million for Greenwood, which included a sell-on clause promising Manchester United 50 percent of any future transfer fee.

Despite Greenwood’s contract running until 2025, Manchester United are eager to sell him permanently for a significant amount this season. They rejected Lazio’s offer, aiming instead for a £30 million fee. Lazio, in their search for a replacement for Felipe Anderson, who is set to return to Brazil to join Palmeiras, view Greenwood as a prime target. The club may have to break its transfer record under the ownership of Claudio Lotito to secure the young forward.

Additionally, a report from Calciomercato mentions that Lazio proposed including goalkeeper Christos Mandas in the deal, valuing him at €20 million. Manchester United, however, are doubtful about this valuation and remain focused on obtaining a higher cash fee for Greenwood.
