HERE WE GO: 4yrs contract agreed as Manchester United set to announce their second summer signing – Unveiling will be done Infront of Man United fans tomorrow

Christopher Vivell has finalized an agreement with Manchester United to take on the role of Director of Recruitment immediately, according to reports by Sky Sports journalists Florian Plettenberg and David Ornstein.

At 37, Vivell is now in the process of securing his work permit, which is necessary for his transition to Old Trafford. His appointment is part of a strategic move to bolster the club’s operations in the upcoming summer transfer window, particularly with the involvement of INEOS.

This development signals a proactive approach by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his new team, who are determined to return the 20-time English champions to their former glory by first strengthening the club’s leadership.

Vivell, who previously worked with RB Leipzig and more recently Chelsea, is set to join Manchester United under Ratcliffe’s sporting management on a short-term contract. Despite receiving offers from other clubs, he chose to align himself with United.

This move comes shortly after the announcement regarding Dan Ashworth’s appointment, which was made by both Manchester United and Newcastle United. Ashworth had been waiting for months for the two clubs to finalize their agreement, marking another significant addition to the Red Devils’ revamped hierarchy.
