Barcelona’s manager, Hansi Flick, has decided to exclude six prominent players from the squad set to participate in the upcoming pre-season tour in the United States. This decision was reported by Sportglitz on July 19, 2024.
As Barcelona prepares for the new season, the club is emphasizing the importance of player well-being after a grueling previous season. Acknowledging the rigors of competing on multiple fronts, the club aims to ensure that its players are in peak physical and mental health.
To aid in their recovery and readiness for the next season, Barcelona has opted to give several key players a rest period. As a result, the following players will not be joining the squad for the US tour:

– Pedri González
– Ferran Torres
Moreover, some players will be dedicating their efforts to representing Spain in the Olympic Games:

– Eric García
– Pau Cubarsí
Additionally, if Nico Williams becomes part of the team, he too will be absent from the US tour.
Barcelona’s pre-season tour in the United States will feature matches against Real Madrid in New Jersey on August 3 and AC Milan in Baltimore on August 6.
