“We have finally decided to let him join Man United, since he doesn’t want to resume training again…But let the public take note that I won’t be responsible if Man United kill his career”: Club manager confirms £89M superstar will join Man United as he’s warned the Club may ruin his career

In a recent report from The Mirror, it has been revealed that Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, is willing to allow Manuel Ugarte to transfer to Manchester United. The Uruguayan defensive midfielder, who is currently participating in the Copa America, has been the subject of two rounds of discussions between United and PSG.

Manchester United view Ugarte as their primary candidate to eventually replace the Brazilian international, Casemiro, at Old Trafford. Encouragingly, Ugarte himself is reportedly open to the idea of joining the Premier League side.

PSG had initially acquired Ugarte from Sporting CP for a fee of approximately £50 million. However, after a season that didn’t quite meet expectations in France, his current market value has dropped to around £38 million. This potential decrease in cost could make him an attractive option for United.

Initially, Manchester United had been targeting Edson Alvarez to strengthen their midfield, particularly in the No. 6 role. However, following Alvarez’s significant injury before the Copa America, United’s attention has shifted solely to Ugarte.

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, is in need of a reliable defensive midfielder to protect his backline, especially after the team conceded 58 goals in the previous Premier League season. Ugarte’s defensive skills and play-breaking abilities could be crucial for United as they aim to solidify their defense in the upcoming campaign.
