“We have accepted the offer since he doesn’t want to stay anymore…But this is not how football should be run, Man United is a threat to our beautiful game and FIFA have to intervene now”: Club manager confirms Man United bid for their ‘best player’ has been accepted and the player has already agreed to join the Reds

Last season, Manchester United struggled defensively, conceding 58 goals in the Premier League. This highlighted not only the need for a robust defensive line but also the glaring absence of a reliable defensive midfielder.

Casemiro, who has been a key figure in this role, is now considered past his prime and had a notably poor season. This has prompted Manchester United to seek a replacement for the Brazilian midfielder.

Recent reports indicate that Manchester United is close to securing the services of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Initially, it appeared that Arsenal were in the best position to sign the Spanish international from the La Liga team. However, Manchester United has now taken the lead, and with the club’s interest, it is becoming increasingly challenging for Real Sociedad to retain Zubimendi.

According to TDF, Manchester United is prepared to activate the 60 million euros release clause to acquire the 25-year-old regista. Additionally, the club has reportedly offered Zubimendi a five-year contract, bringing him just “one step away” from joining the Red Devils this summer.

The next few days are expected to be pivotal in this transfer saga. Besides Zubimendi, Manchester United has also been linked with Uruguayan defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte. Another option on the table is bringing back Sofyan Amrabat, who was on loan at Old Trafford last season.

In your opinion, who would be the ideal signing for Manchester United to strengthen their defensive midfield position this transfer window?
