“My client has completed his medical to join Man United yesterday but the club is yet to agree my own fee…I may be forced to cancel the deal”: Agent reveals his player is poised to join Man United today but the club is yet to agree his own fee, threatened to cancel the deal

Last month, renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester United is actively pursuing deals for Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte, with both players showing interest in joining the club. Recent developments have given the Red Devils an additional boost in their pursuit of Ugarte.
Currently, Ugarte is on international duty at the Copa America, which complicates direct negotiations with clubs. These discussions are being handled by his agent, Jorge Chijane. In an interview with O Jogo, as reported by The Mirror, Chijane mentioned that another Premier League club is also considering a move for the 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder.
“Liverpool? There is a lot of talk but it is not the only club. There are others. There are many possibilities on the table,” Chijane stated. He added, “It’s almost certain that he won’t stay. It’s sure he’ll leave. I believe the situation will be resolved.”
Currently, Ugarte is at the top of INEOS’ list for midfield targets. United initially searched for potential replacements for Casemiro before deciding on Ugarte. They aim to acquire a midfielder who can support Kobbie Mainoo’s growth and help the teenager excel in his second season of first-team football.
Liverpool’s interest in Ugarte is still uncertain. However, Liverpool can offer something Manchester United cannot – a chance to play in the Champions League next season.
Ugarte has been with Paris Saint-Germain for only a year, following his £51.1 million transfer last July. It is believed that PSG is not keen on selling him for much less than what they paid.
