Done Deal: Man United sign Most Dangerous striker in football history on a Five-Years transfer deal as player given a legendary shirt number- The fans are surprised

Manchester United continues to show interest in acquiring RB Leipzig’s talented attacking midfielder, Dani Olmo, this summer, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

The Red Devils have been monitoring the Spanish international for some time now. However, they will face stiff competition from top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City if they decide to make an offer.

Barcelona has already made a bid of €40 million, along with an additional €20 million in performance-related add-ons, but RB Leipzig turned it down. The German club is firm on their valuation of Olmo, seeking €60 million without any add-ons for their prized player.

Dani Olmo, who is 26 years old, had an exceptional performance for Spain, contributing significantly to their victory in the 2024 European Championship by scoring three goals and providing two assists over six matches.

Manchester United aims to further strengthen their attacking options, especially after bringing in Joshua Zirkzee, a forward from the Netherlands. Olmo fits the profile they are looking for, given his versatility; he can operate as a central midfielder, play just behind the striker, function as a striker himself, or even take up a position on the right wing.

Last season, Olmo recorded eight goals and five assists in 25 appearances, maintaining a consistent performance since the 2016-17 season. His abilities could substantially elevate Manchester United’s success on the field. However, it remains uncertain whether United can lure him at this moment.

The challenge lies in the fact that Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City will all participate in the Champions League next season and are perennial contenders for their respective league titles. This status might make these clubs more attractive destinations for Olmo compared to Manchester United.
