BALTIMORE, Maryland — Hansi Flick, the manager of Barcelona, is returning to the city feeling pleased with his team’s performance during their tour of the United States. In a postgame press conference after Barcelona’s third and final tour match against AC Milan, the German manager expressed his satisfaction with the squad’s overall performance throughout the tour. This includes the final game against the Italian team, which ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes, despite Barcelona being down by two goals within the first fifteen minutes.
“We played a fantastic second half,” Flick emphasized multiple times during the press conference. He particularly noted the two goals scored by Robert Lewandowski. “He earned both of those goals because he put in a tremendous amount of effort,” Flick stated.
Additionally, the manager commended the young players who took part in the match against AC Milan. “We have 16-year-old players who performed exceptionally well,” he mentioned. “There are players who have shown significant improvement over the past several days.”
