German Machine Ready For Barcelona Experience.
Barcelona have reportedly begun discussions with the representatives of Dani Olmo, a player currently with RB Leipzig.
According to reports from the Spanish outlet Jijantes, these discussions took place on Wednesday, with Olmo’s father attending the latter part of the meeting.
After spending over four years at Leipzig, Olmo appears ready to embrace a new challenge. Although his playing time this season has been limited, with only 14 starts out of 29 Bundesliga matches, he has still made a notable impact, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
Given his experience as a Spanish international, Olmo could offer considerable value to Barcelona. His addition would not only increase competition within the squad, particularly for players such as Pedri and Ferran Torres, but he could also be a suitable replacement for Joao Felix, who is expected to return to Atletico Madrid next summer.
Olmo is reportedly tied to a release clause of €60 million, an amount that Barcelona could potentially afford through player sales.
Dani Olmo has also attracted attention from Premier League clubs. Manchester City has recently been in contact with his representatives, possibly considering him alongside their interest in Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala. Manchester United has also been linked with Olmo, although their current focus seems to be on strengthening their defense.
Additionally, Chelsea and Tottenham are viewed as potential competitors in the race to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.
