Speaking after a disappointing defeat, Ten Hag stated, “I’m not worried about being fired. We all agreed during the summer to stick together, and it was a well-thought-out plan.”
He went on to explain that the decision to move forward collectively was not only his but was also backed by the ownership and leadership groups. “After a thorough review, we determined what areas needed improvement as an organization and how to build the squad effectively,” he noted.
Ten Hag further stressed that all decisions have been made in unison, with an understanding that rebuilding would require time. “We are all aligned—ownership, leadership, staff, players, and myself included. We knew this process would take time, and we’re all on the same page, working towards the same goal,” he concluded.
