DEAL COMPLETED: Manchester United finally complete the signing of £44m World Cup Hero after club agreed to lower His transfer fee in favor of Man united – Player set to arrive tomorrow for Medical

Manchester United has officially completed the signing of a key player, sealing a £44 million deal for a World Cup standout after successfully negotiating a reduced transfer fee. The player is expected to arrive at the club tomorrow for his medical examination.

One of the earliest transfer targets for Manchester United in this window was Paris Saint-Germain’s midfielder, Manuel Ugarte. The 23-year-old Uruguayan international caught the attention of top clubs with his remarkable performances during the Copa America, where he played a pivotal role in leading his national team to the semifinals.

Despite his undeniable talent, Ugarte found himself on the fringes of the PSG squad last season under the guidance of head coach Luis Enrique. The Spanish coach, known for his ability to identify top midfielders, did not see Ugarte as a key player, opting instead to sign Joao Neves as his preferred choice in the midfield.

However, Ugarte’s potential has been evident since his days at Sporting CP, where he was highly regarded as a classical defensive midfielder. His style of play is reminiscent of players like Casemiro, making him an ideal candidate to fill such a role in Manchester United’s current squad.

According to sources, PSG initially valued Ugarte at around €60 million, but Manchester United tabled a bid of approximately £44.6 million (€52 million). Though this offer was initially rejected by the French club, they have since lowered their asking price, putting United in a favorable position to secure the player’s services.

A significant factor working in Manchester United’s favor is Ugarte’s strong desire to join the Premier League club. His preference for a move to Old Trafford has given United leverage in the negotiations, allowing them to extend talks to achieve the most advantageous deal possible.

PSG’s need to offload players from their overstocked midfield has further played into United’s hands. The recent acquisition of Joao Neves by PSG has only added to their surplus in this department, increasing the urgency for a sale. As Manchester United continues to hold out, their chances of securing better terms improve.

With the transfer window nearing its close, time is of the essence. Manchester United has already made several strategic additions to their squad this summer, and Ugarte could prove to be another astute signing. The next few days will be crucial in determining whether the club can finalize the deal before the deadline passes.
