I seriously don’t know the type of Mentality that Erik Ten Hag is using to handle players,Player He rejected this summer is the same player that every manager wants in His team now”, Former Chelsea manager Pochettino slams Erik Ten Hag for letting go of £60m player who is now the bedrock of His team

Manchester United are widely regarded as the pinnacle of club football, and it’s common for players who leave the club to face a challenge in reaching similar heights elsewhere. Many find it difficult to match the success they experienced at United, and for some, it never happens.

However, for Mason Greenwood, who departed from Manchester United this summer, the transition seems to be going exceptionally well. Greenwood has already made a significant impact at his new club, Olympique Marseille, scoring in every game he has played so far, including on his competitive debut.

Marseille’s season started with a match against Stade Brest on August 17th. Under the guidance of Roberto de Zerbi, Marseille delivered an impressive 5-1 victory. Greenwood made an immediate impression by scoring within the first three minutes of the game. He went on to score again, while Luiz Henrique also netted twice, contributing to a comprehensive win that places Marseille at the top of the league for the time being.

This match marked Greenwood’s first competitive appearance for Marseille, following goals in his earlier friendly debut and subsequent match. De Zerbi praised Greenwood’s performance, describing him as “exceptional” and addressing the media’s controversy surrounding the player. De Zerbi expressed his satisfaction with Greenwood’s scoring and indirectly criticized the media’s focus on the controversies, stating, “Mason Greenwood is just exceptional. He’s an excellent player and you can see that. I’m happy to see him scoring so it will all the controversy in the media.”

Roberto de Zerbi has been notably protective of Greenwood, especially given the turbulence surrounding his career. Although Greenwood’s footballing skills have never been in doubt, a return to Manchester United seemed unlikely due to the circumstances of his departure. Regardless of Greenwood’s future at Manchester United, the club’s financial interests remain tied to his performance. The sale agreement includes a 50% sell-on clause, which means every goal Greenwood scores at Marseille could financially benefit Manchester United.

Manchester United’s decision to include such a clause could prove lucrative if Greenwood continues to excel and potentially attracts interest from top-tier clubs. With Greenwood’s promising start at Marseille, the possibility of a significant financial gain for United could materialize sooner than anticipated.
