“The transfer is completed and the squad number is already given: Transfer expert confirms Man United’s latest signing as he revealed the squad number awarded to him

Recent developments in the ongoing transfer saga between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have seen significant progress, as reported by respected journalist Ben Jacobs. The latest updates suggest that PSG is now more amenable to the idea of letting Manuel Ugarte move to Manchester United on an initial loan deal, which would include an obligation to buy the player later on.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, Jacobs emphasized that this shift in the deal’s structure is a major advancement in the negotiations, marking a crucial turning point in discussions between the two clubs.

However, the financial aspects of the transfer are still a sticking point. PSG has set a valuation for Ugarte at around £60 million, while Manchester United is attempting to negotiate a lower fee. Despite this discrepancy, Jacobs remains optimistic, indicating that the price tag might not ultimately prevent the deal from being finalized. The negotiations have generally been positive, and the clubs appear to be moving closer to an agreement.

Jacobs elaborated on the situation, stating, “In the last 24 to 48 hours, there has been a breakthrough in the negotiations, with encouraging discussions between the two clubs. The most significant change is that PSG is now willing to consider a loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause, which is structurally beneficial for Manchester United.”

“Nevertheless,” he continued, “PSG is holding firm on their valuation, which is approximately 60 million euros. Manchester United, on the other hand, is pushing for a slightly lower amount. Despite this, there’s a strong sense of optimism between the clubs that the deal will eventually be completed.”

Manuel Ugarte, a defensive midfielder from Uruguay, joined PSG last summer from Sporting CP for a transfer fee of £51.1 million. During his first season with the French club, Ugarte made 37 appearances across all competitions, starting in 27 of those matches. While his debut season may not have been stellar, Ugarte managed to provide three assists and played a key role in PSG’s midfield, particularly in defensive tasks and disrupting the opposition’s play.

As the transfer window progresses, both clubs will continue to iron out the details, but it appears that Manchester United is edging closer to securing the services of the promising midfielder.
