“Though I didn’t had it in mind that I am finally heading to Stamford bridge, it is my pleasure to get this great opportunity, blue has always been my best club, and I willing to do anything to see them win a Trophy as am set to be part of the team soon” Toney, Ivan 😲…

Chelsea’s stance on the potential transfer of Ivan Toney has come to light, following reports of a £50 million deal between Brentford and Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League. According to recent reports, Chelsea made a late attempt to secure Toney’s services as the striker inches closer to a move to the Middle East.

The Times indicates that Brentford is hopeful about finalizing the sale of the highly coveted English forward, with personal terms allegedly already agreed upon. Al-Ahli’s initial bid of £35 million for Toney was turned down, but Brentford remains in a state of deliberation, weighing their options for the next move. Meanwhile, The Sun has highlighted Chelsea’s growing interest in acquiring Toney, especially given that the striker only has one year remaining on his contract. This contract situation has spurred Brentford to consider the possibility of a renewed bid.

Chelsea recently completed a £46 million transfer for Joao Felix, a move that also facilitated the sale of Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid. However, the club continues to be linked with a new central striker, with Ivan Toney emerging as a prime target during this summer transfer window.

As speculation around his future intensifies, Toney was noticeably absent from Brentford’s squad for their opening match of the season. With the transfer deadline looming on August 30, his exclusion from the lineup has only fueled rumors of an imminent departure.

Toney’s track record in the Premier League is impressive, with 36 goals and 11 assists in 85 appearances. Additionally, he has earned six caps for the England national team. Ahead of Brentford’s first game of the season, manager Thomas Frank acknowledged the possibility of Toney’s departure, admitting that there is significant interest in the striker.

Frank commented, “There’s a lot happening with Ivan right now, and there’s definitely some transfer interest. Because of that, we decided it was best not to include him in the squad. Whether or not he’s played his last game for us, I can’t say for sure, but there’s interest, even if nothing is immediately on the horizon.”
