BREAKING: Var finally declare replay it’s goal,Man United Zirkzee goal vs Brighton – as point are now being shared between the two team,PGMOL apologize to Man united management

In a dramatic turn of events, VAR has finally ruled that the goal initially scored by Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho against Brighton will not count, and the match will be declared a draw. The decision stems from an unusual offside incident involving Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, which left fans and players alike in shock. The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) issued an apology to Manchester United’s management for the confusion and the outcome.

The incident took place during the match at the Amex Stadium when Garnacho thought he had secured the lead for Manchester United with a seemingly easy tap-in, just 20 minutes before the final whistle. However, the goal was disallowed due to a freak occurrence. As Bruno Fernandes delivered a pass across the goal, Zirkzee, who had already slid in and missed the initial cross, found himself accidentally involved in the play. The ball deflected off his knee while he was still on the goal line.

Although the ball was destined to find the back of the net regardless of Zirkzee’s involvement, the goal was annulled because the summer signing was ahead of Garnacho when the shot was taken. According to the rules, had Zirkzee made contact with the ball only after it had fully crossed the line, the goal would have stood. Unfortunately, the Dutch striker could do nothing to stop this inadvertent mistake.

Zirkzee, who had previously scored the decisive goal in his debut against Fulham just a week prior, was immediately aware of the mishap. As Garnacho celebrated what he thought was a valid goal, Zirkzee stood in the goal, visibly frustrated and dejected, fully realizing the implications of his unintended intervention.

The incident quickly sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with many fans expressing their thoughts on the bizarre situation. One fan commented, “You can’t blame Joshua Zirkzee for that. Any striker would instinctively try to make contact in that situation. He just got unlucky.” Another added, “It’s a shame for Garnacho, but you can’t fault Zirkzee for his reaction.” A third fan humorously referenced a past controversial incident, saying, “Justice for Coventry,” pointing to the FA Cup semi-final where Manchester United benefitted from a marginal VAR offside call.

Many supporters are now calling for a change in the offside rules, arguing that Zirkzee’s accidental touch did not provide any advantage to the attacking team. One fan elaborated, “It was the correct decision according to the current rules, but common sense should have been applied. The ball was already on its way into the net, the defense and goalkeeper were out of play. The outcome was already decided.” Another fan echoed this sentiment, “The rule should be revised to allow such goals, especially when no defender had a realistic chance of stopping it.”

Zirkzee’s unintended touch proved costly for Manchester United, as the incident occurred with the score tied at 1-1. Amad Diallo had earlier equalized for United with a deflected shot, canceling out former United player Danny Welbeck’s opening goal. However, the match took a final twist in the fifth minute of injury time when Joao Pedro was left unmarked at the back post, where he headed in a dramatic winner for Brighton, securing all three points for his team.

As the final whistle blew, Zirkzee was seen deep in conversation with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as they walked off the pitch, seemingly explaining the details of what had transpired during the critical moment that ultimately cost his team the game.
