SHOCKING NEWS: coming from Fabrizio Romano, ” since my arrival i have watched every game not missing one and I can see that the team needs a serious reconstruction especially from Rashford I don’t see his drive to play football like his been forced and and my team won’t tolerate any form of mediocrity as we plan to restore success in United”. Manchester United’s new co-owner is reportedly looking to replace Marcus Rashford with a younger option in the form of serie A star. the club is looking to make a big-money investment in a new striker, and this youngstar is seen as a perfect replacement.

Manchester United’s new co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is set to usher in a wave of significant changes at Old Trafford, which may lead to the exits of both manager Erik ten Hag and star player Marcus Rashford.

As the club strives to revitalize its culture and regain its position as a dominant force in the Premier League—a status that has eluded them for more than a decade—Ratcliffe and the newly appointed board members are preparing to implement decisive actions to elevate the club’s performance.

The futures of both Ten Hag and Rashford now hang in the balance, with Ratcliffe and the restructured board tasked with making crucial decisions about whether to keep, release, or possibly part ways with one or both of them by the summer transfer window.

Rashford, an England international, has faced a difficult season, netting only five goals in 31 appearances under Ten Hag’s leadership. This is a far cry from the 30-goal tally he achieved last season. His struggles on the field, combined with growing dissatisfaction with Ten Hag’s management, have cast doubt on his future at the club. The relationship between Rashford and Ten Hag has reportedly become strained, with the player feeling disillusioned by the Dutchman’s approach.

Ten Hag has disciplined Rashford twice this season. The first incident occurred after Rashford celebrated his birthday in Manchester’s city center, just after United suffered a derby defeat to Manchester City. The second disciplinary action took place last month following Rashford’s trip to Belfast, which particularly angered Ten Hag. The situation was aggravated when Rashford provided misleading information about the timing of his Belfast visit, leading him to call in sick for training right before an FA Cup match.

Although Ten Hag has publicly stated that the issue with Rashford has been resolved, there is growing speculation within the club’s upper management that one or both of them might be on their way out come summer.

Rashford’s situation has attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, who are searching for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. This has positioned Rashford as a valuable asset for United, not just in terms of financial return but also in ensuring compliance with Premier League financial regulations. Selling him could provide the funds needed to strengthen other areas of the squad.

However, there is also a recognition within the club that Rashford remains one of their most valuable players, especially when he is at his best. His talent has not gone unnoticed by United’s fiercest rivals, including Manchester City.

On the other hand, Ten Hag’s future at United is increasingly uncertain. While he has asserted that he does not need public support from Ratcliffe, his position is clearly under review. His performance for the remainder of the season will likely be the deciding factor in whether he stays or goes. Even securing a spot in the Champions League may not be enough to save his job, as Ratcliffe and his team are reportedly considering appointing a new manager as part of a broader strategy to overhaul the club’s sporting operations.

Ratcliffe, along with Sir Dave Brailsford and the soon-to-be-appointed CEO Omar Berrada, intends to send a strong message that mediocrity will no longer be tolerated at Manchester United. This could mean that both the manager and one of the club’s key players may be shown the door as the first steps in a transformative effort to restore the club’s former glory.
