“I amire him alot when I was in Ajax. I Want to bring him back to the club to help our Midfielders. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are out of form. Signing him will be a dream for us”-Erik ten Hag reveals his plan to re-sign Paul Pogba back to Manchester United to help the team after CSA makes decision on Paul Pogba drugs ban that will have huge impact on former Man United star’s return to football.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has officially reduced Paul Pogba’s doping ban, which was initially set for four years.
Pogba, now 31 years old, was handed the original suspension last year after testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). This compound, known to stimulate hormone production, including testosterone, is classified as a banned substance in competitive sports. Despite the test results, Pogba consistently maintained his innocence, claiming he never knowingly or intentionally consumed any prohibited substances. He immediately appealed the decision, hoping to clear his name.
After reviewing his appeal, the CAS has decided to shorten Pogba’s ban to 18 months. According to a report from Sami Mokbel in the Daily Mail, Pogba will be allowed to resume training by January and could potentially return to the field by March of the same year.
Throughout this challenging period, Pogba has remained under contract with his club, Juventus, and is expected to be back in contention for selection under manager Thiago Motta as the season progresses. The French midfielder’s last official match appearance occurred in September 2023, when he came off the bench in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Empoli.
The controversy began after Pogba was subjected to a random drug test following Juventus’ match against Udinese two weeks earlier. Although he did not play in that match, both his A and B samples returned positive results for DHEA, with the B sample’s confirmation arriving in October. Anti-doping authorities subsequently pushed for a four-year suspension in December.
After the ban was announced, Pogba expressed profound disappointment. He stated, “I believe this verdict is wrong. I am heartbroken to see my career achievements taken away because of this. Once I am no longer bound by legal constraints, the full truth will come out. I have never intentionally or knowingly used any banned substances. As a professional athlete, I would never undermine or cheat my fellow athletes or fans.”
With his ban now reduced, Pogba has a clearer path to returning to the sport he loves, though the experience has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on his career and reputation.
