“We are going to win the league this season with him. No Manchester United coach has ever promised the club as much as he did. He is the special one for us”-“FANS ARE SHOCKED” as Ruben Amorim makes ‘promise’ to Man Utd fans during Sporting Lisbon press conference after move finally ‘confirmed’

Ruben Amorim has assured Manchester United supporters that clarity on his possible transfer to Old Trafford is on the horizon, with an official announcement likely approaching soon.

On Thursday afternoon, the 39-year-old Portuguese manager addressed the growing speculation surrounding his future, hinting that a definitive decision is near. While sources suggest he is close to finalizing a deal with United, Amorim advised fans to remain patient a bit longer for official word.

“I understand why [journalists] have traveled here for this discussion, and I get it. But we’ll save those details for after the match,” Amorim remarked during a press conference before Sporting CP’s upcoming league match against Estrela Amadora. “After the game, I’ll address everything,” he assured reporters.

Amorim explained that negotiations are ongoing between Sporting and Manchester United, emphasizing that the process is not straightforward. “It’s never simple—even with clauses involved. But after this game, everything will be made clear. Just one more day, and a decision will be reached,” he commented, acknowledging the complexity of the deal.

To further reassure the media, Amorim added, “I promise, after the game, I’ll clarify everything. Right now, discussing this only distracts the team. My attention—and the team’s—is firmly on the game.”

Throughout United’s courtship, Amorim has remained focused on his responsibilities at Sporting. His dedication was evident in their recent 3-1 win over Nacional in the Taca da Liga, and his team will look to continue their flawless league run in the upcoming match, where Sporting could extend their record to ten wins from ten games.

According to The Telegraph, Sporting is expected to formally confirm the agreement with United soon. However, it’s anticipated that Amorim will stay on to guide Sporting through three more games, including a Champions League showdown against Manchester City on November 5. If the timeline holds, Amorim could join Manchester United after the international break, potentially making his managerial debut against Ipswich Town on November 24.
