“Their TWO best players are both my signings and if I’m no longer good to coach them, then they’ll join me at my new club”: Erik ten Hag has been employed as a new club’s manager and he’s now working to sign TWO Man United’s best players

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag might soon return to the sidelines, with reports linking him to a potential managerial role at AS Roma. Just weeks after his departure from Manchester United, Ten Hag has emerged as a possible candidate to replace Daniele de Rossi at Roma, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport. The Italian club is reportedly weighing its options and considering various contenders, including former Torino manager Ivan Juric, to take over at Stadio Olimpico.

Ten Hag’s time at Manchester United included winning two trophies over two seasons, building on his earlier achievements at Ajax, where he won multiple Dutch league titles. However, despite his successes, he struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League, which ultimately led to his departure. Nevertheless, his accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, and there is a strong belief that Ten Hag could excel in a different environment where he has better support and a more cohesive club structure.

Rumors of a potential change in Manchester United’s management had been circulating for some time, particularly following INEOS’s acquisition of the club. INEOS has since moved forward by hiring former Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim to lead United, with the aim of reviving the club’s Premier League aspirations.

Although Ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford did not meet expectations, he remained dedicated to his role until the very end, a contrast to the turbulent exit of previous manager Jose Mourinho. While it’s clear that Manchester United was not the right match for Ten Hag, his efforts and commitment deserve recognition. Now, the spotlight is on Amorim as he takes on the challenging task of restoring Manchester United to its former glory.

In the meantime, Ten Hag appears poised for new opportunities, with AS Roma possibly offering a fresh start and a new chapter in his career.
