“This swap deal is definitely a loss to Man United if we compare their recent performance side to side. Amorim should not make the mistake of allowing this deal to happen” – This is according to Gary Neville as he believes that a player exchange between Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku would be advantageous solely for Chelsea.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has expressed his belief that a potential player exchange involving Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku would largely work in Chelsea’s favor.
As the February 3 transfer deadline approaches, Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain, with Chelsea reportedly showing significant interest in acquiring the young winger. Speculation continues to mount that the London club may soon submit a formal bid for the talented Argentine.
On Saturday, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that both Manchester United and Chelsea were exploring the possibility of a swap deal. Under the proposed arrangement, Nkunku would head to Old Trafford while Garnacho would move to Stamford Bridge. Although negotiations are ongoing, no final decisions have been reached.
According to a report by The Peoples Person, Manchester United have expressed a desire to stay informed about any developments regarding Nkunku’s future, further fueling speculation about a potential deal.
Speaking on NBC Sport, Neville voiced his disapproval of the rumored transfer, strongly opposing it from Manchester United’s perspective.
The former Red Devils defender, who boasts eight Premier League titles to his name, argued, “I don’t see how this benefits Manchester United. Nkunku has been plagued by injuries since joining Chelsea, which has prevented him from finding his form.”
Although Neville acknowledged Garnacho’s raw potential and stopped short of calling him a world-class player, he insisted that United should only consider letting him go if they receive a significant offer.
He added, “Swapping him for Nkunku? If I were Manchester United, I wouldn’t go ahead with that deal.”
However, Neville conceded, “I can understand why Chelsea would be keen to make this happen.”
In the meantime, Napoli have also been linked with a move for Garnacho. Their sporting director recently made it clear that while they are interested, they have no intention of overpaying, especially given reports that United value the winger at £60 million.
