Barcelona has set a specific condition for Neymar if they are to consider re-signing him in the upcoming transfer window. According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Neymar has been given a final deadline by Barcelona officials amid rumors of a potential return. The Brazilian star is reportedly keen to rejoin Barcelona in the summer and is even willing to accept a lower salary to prepare for the 2026 World Cup

A report, which is strongly associated with Barcelona’s management team, has revealed that the club has conveyed a clear message to Neymar regarding a potential return. The directive given to the Brazilian forward is straightforward: he must first score 15 goals while playing for Santos before Barcelona will seriously consider signing him.
Furthermore, the club’s new head coach, German tactician Hansi Flick, has reportedly granted Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, permission to engage in discussions with Neymar. However, this approval comes with a condition—any negotiations will only proceed if Neymar successfully reaches the target of 15 goals for Santos by the end of the current season.
Neymar returned to Santos in January following an injury-plagued spell with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. Since rejoining his boyhood club, he has managed to score three goals in seven appearances. His current contract with Santos is set to expire in June. Neymar previously enjoyed great success with Barcelona, playing a key role in their 2015 UEFA Champions League triumph before making a historic transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for a world-record fee of €222 million.
