Chelsea reportedly offer €120m to sign Rodrygo

Chelsea Football Club is reportedly preparing to submit a formal offer worth 120 million euros in an effort to acquire Brazilian forward Rodrygo from Spanish giants Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window. According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, Rodrygo has emerged as a top priority for Chelsea’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca. The manager envisions building a revamped attacking lineup centered around Rodrygo, alongside rising star Cole Palmer and striker Nicolas Jackson.

Rodrygo has had a productive season with Real Madrid, recording 13 goals and 9 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions. Despite his contributions, his long-term role at the club is unclear due to the prominent presence of star forwards Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, who are currently ahead of him in the team’s pecking order.

Chelsea believes that a generous transfer fee combined with the opportunity for Rodrygo to play a central, leading role in their squad could be enough to convince both the player and Real Madrid to agree to the move. Although Rodrygo remains under contract with Los Blancos until 2028, various sources suggest the club may be open to a sale—provided that the offer aligns with their valuation.

The Premier League side sees Rodrygo’s potential arrival as a major signal of intent, as they strive to reestablish themselves among Europe’s elite clubs. Spanish media reports indicate that Real Madrid is now carefully considering whether to accept Chelsea’s offer or reject it outright.
