A clear message to the Barcelona star: Either leave willingly, or you won’t feature in any matches for the team next season!

Barcelona’s young midfielder, Pablo Torre, is expected to depart from the club during the upcoming summer transfer window. This development comes after the club’s newly appointed head coach, Hansi Flick, has reportedly made it clear that Torre does not figure into his strategic vision for the team moving forward. Torre’s exit is likely to be one of the first player sales initiated under Flick’s leadership.

As reported by El Nacional, Barcelona has officially informed Torre that he is free to explore options with other clubs. This decision follows a challenging and unfulfilling season for the 21-year-old, during which he struggled to secure regular playing time. While Torre did display moments of brilliance and technical skill, his opportunities on the field were limited due to fierce competition from more established players, including Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, and Fermín López.

Although Coach Flick recognizes Torre’s potential and footballing ability, he believes the current squad requires players who can deliver more consistent and immediate contributions on the pitch. Consequently, the club is now actively pursuing a sale that would help them recoup the €5 million invested in Torre’s acquisition. Several clubs are reportedly already monitoring his situation with genuine interest.

Earlier this year, Torre had chosen to remain at Barcelona, turning down transfer opportunities in the hope of breaking into the first team and achieving success with the Catalan giants. However, he now realizes that staying would likely result in very limited involvement with the senior squad. As such, his departure is considered all but certain—the only remaining question is where his next chapter will begin.
