The club’s current sporting director, Deco, has held a long-standing admiration for Díaz, considering him an ideal fit for Barcelona’s left-wing position. This interest persisted even while the club explored other attacking options, such as Nico Williams. Recent developments indicate that new head coach Hansi Flick has now officially endorsed the pursuit of Díaz, signaling his approval for the club to move forward with their plans to secure the player.
