**Laporta Planning “Deal of the Century” Surprise for Hansi Flick with Alexander Isak Target**

After recently winning their 28th La Liga championship, FC Barcelona is already shifting its focus to future planning. Club president Joan Laporta is reportedly working on a significant and surprising move aimed at strengthening the team under the leadership of newly appointed manager Hansi Flick. One major name on Laporta’s radar is Newcastle United’s standout forward, Alexander Isak.

Barcelona secured their league title following a 2-0 victory over city rivals Espanyol, bringing their total points to 85—seven more than second-place Real Madrid—with only two fixtures remaining in the season. With the championship now confirmed, Laporta has begun turning his attention toward enhancing the club’s roster for the future.

According to the Spanish outlet El Nacional, Laporta envisions Swedish international Alexander Isak as the perfect long-term successor to current striker Robert Lewandowski. Laporta is said to be highly impressed by Isak’s combination of finishing ability, positional flexibility, and elegant technical style—qualities that he believes align perfectly with Barcelona’s trademark style of play. He sees Isak not only as a tactical fit but also as someone who could become a cornerstone of the team’s next generation.

Although it is currently unlikely that a transfer for Isak could happen in the upcoming window—due in part to Barcelona’s ongoing financial limitations and Newcastle’s reluctance to part with a key player—Laporta is thinking ahead. He has set his sights on making a move for Isak in 2026, a time when Lewandowski is expected to depart the club. His exit would free up a significant portion of the wage bill and make room in the attacking lineup.

To prepare for this potential acquisition, Laporta has already instructed the club’s sporting director, Deco, to prioritize Isak as a future signing and begin laying the strategic and financial groundwork for a deal. Despite the current obstacles, Laporta reportedly considers bringing Isak to the club as a potential “deal of the century”—a signing that could reshape the team’s offensive future and usher in a new, exciting chapter in Barcelona’s storied history.
