🚨✅✅✅🚨 🚨 Barcelona’s 18-year-old defender Hector Fort has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, according to Mundo Deportivo. More details in comments👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Fort is currently under contract with FC Barcelona until the year 2026. However, since the arrival of the club’s new manager, Hansi Flick, he has struggled to secure meaningful playing time with the first team. This lack of opportunities is largely due to the strong presence of Jules Koundé, who has firmly established himself as the club’s first-choice right-back. In addition, when Koundé was sidelined with an injury toward the end of the season, it was Eric García who was typically chosen to step in rather than Fort. As a result, Fort has mostly remained on the outskirts of the senior squad and has not been given many chances to prove himself at the highest level.

Due to this ongoing lack of involvement, there is increasing uncertainty surrounding Fort’s future at Barcelona. PSV Eindhoven, a top Dutch club known for their fast-paced and possession-heavy style of play, are reportedly very interested in the young defender. They see Fort’s strengths—especially his ability to push forward from defense and his calmness under pressure—as qualities that would fit well within their tactical system.

PSV had previously expressed interest in signing Fort on a temporary loan deal. However, with no significant changes to his situation at Barcelona, they are now considering both a loan and a permanent transfer as possible options to bring him in.

At the same time, Barcelona have not yet made a final decision regarding what lies ahead for Fort. A crucial meeting is expected to take place soon between head coach Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco. During this meeting, they will evaluate the overall squad and carefully consider Fort’s development path. Although no official decision has been made, it seems most likely that the club will look to send him out on loan. This would allow Fort to gain consistent playing time in a competitive league, which is considered essential for his growth and future potential.
