BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United identifies best young coach in the world as potential replacement for Ruben Amorim who’s at the verge of been sacked next week – Decision taken by Glazers during yesterday board meeting – Potential replacement announced

Manchester United’s Struggles Continue as Ruben Amorim Faces Mounting Pressure

Manchester United’s turbulent spell shows no sign of easing, with frustration among supporters reaching new heights after yet another underwhelming start to the season. Despite a £200 million summer spend, the Red Devils languish near the bottom of the Premier League table, raising further doubts about Ruben Amorim’s suitability as manager.

Since taking charge last November, the 40-year-old has struggled to impose consistency at Old Trafford. His record — just 18 wins in 48 matches — highlights the difficulties United have endured under his stewardship. Last season’s 15th-place league finish, the club’s lowest in Premier League history, summed up the depths of their decline.

Amorim entered the job with a reputation as a modern tactician, famed for his 3-4-2-1 system. Initially, supporters hoped it would inject fresh identity into the team, but it has instead become a sticking point. His reluctance to deviate from his preferred formation, even when results falter, has fueled criticism from fans and pundits alike. A recent Manchester Derby defeat — his 20th loss in charge — only intensified calls for change.

INEOS’s Dilemma

Despite the growing unrest, reports suggest INEOS, the club’s ownership group, are not preparing to dismiss Amorim immediately. Key figures on the board still view him as the man to lead United into a long-term rebuild. However, patience is wearing thin, and with results failing to match expectations, alternatives are already being discussed.

Iraola on United’s Radar

One name emerging as a serious contender is Andoni Iraola. According to journalist Miguel Delaney, United’s hierarchy are “huge admirers” of the Bournemouth boss, who has earned widespread acclaim for his work at the Vitality Stadium. Iraola guided the Cherries to their best-ever Premier League finish in 2024/25, winning 38 of his 92 games in charge and earning plaudits as one of the brightest coaching minds in Europe.

Sky Sports pundit Sam Tighe even went as far as to call him the “best young coach in the world.” It is little wonder, then, that United are not the only club monitoring Iraola. Manchester City are also reportedly interested, with the Spaniard seen as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola should the legendary coach depart the Etihad.

A Pivotal Period Ahead

For now, Amorim remains in the hot seat, but his margin for error is shrinking rapidly. Another run of poor results could force INEOS’s hand, especially if Iraola becomes available. With the fanbase growing increasingly restless and rivals continuing to strengthen, United’s decision-makers face a critical choice: persist with Amorim in the hope of long-term stability, or move swiftly to secure one of Europe’s most promising young managers.
