HERE WE GO: Manchester confirmed another signing,Fee agreed on a long term deal till 2027,player currently undergoing medical at LONDON Carrington

Manchester United are set to make their first signing under the new ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe by finalizing a deal to acquire Bologna’s striker, Joshua Zirkzee. This strategic move aims to strengthen their attacking line and offer additional support to their main striker, Rasmus Hojlund.

Zirkzee, a 23-year-old Netherlands international, will join the Red Devils for a substantial fee of €42.5 million. The club’s decision to invest in the young forward comes after his impressive performance in the previous season, where he significantly contributed to Bologna’s success. His record of 12 goals and seven assists played a crucial role in helping the team secure a coveted Champions League spot by finishing fifth under the guidance of then-manager Thiago Motta.

Motta, who recently transitioned to managing Juventus, was a strong advocate for Zirkzee’s talents. He even went as far as to draw a comparison between the Dutch striker and Ronaldinho, the Brazilian football legend with whom Motta shared the field during his tenure at Barcelona. Motta highlighted Zirkzee’s unique qualities and his dedication to the game, emphasizing that despite any resemblances to famous players, Zirkzee’s individuality sets him apart.

“His idols are Ibrahimovic and Batistuta, two exceptional players,” Motta remarked following Zirkzee’s crucial last-minute goal against Lazio in February. “Observing him daily, he reminds me of Ronaldinho, but making a direct comparison would not do justice to his unique style. He is Joshua, and he is special. He loves playing football and puts in a lot of effort during training sessions.”

With this signing, Manchester United hopes to enhance their squad’s depth and versatility, looking forward to the impact Zirkzee will bring to the team in the upcoming seasons.
