After completing Leny Yoro transfer”, Manchester have agreed personal terms with £60m playmaker, player Expected to arrive with representative tomorrow for final agreement – Here we go

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt is still hoping for a move to Manchester United this summer.

Last weekend, Manchester United successfully signed Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee. They are also nearing the completion of a deal for Lille center-back Leny Yoro.

Romano shared with Givemesport that de Ligt is enthusiastic about the prospect of joining Manchester United, and the club has not ruled out the possibility of signing the Dutch defender.

“Matthijs de Ligt is eager to move to Manchester United, but the club has not finalized a deal with Bayern because they were prioritizing Leny Yoro. Now that they are close to signing Yoro, de Ligt remains hopeful for a move to United,” Romano stated.

### Potential Transfer Scenarios

Yoro recently became Manchester United’s top target, overtaking de Ligt. The club has now secured his signing. Yoro has completed the first part of his medical examination and is expected to finalize a long-term contract soon.

The arrival of Yoro casts uncertainty over whether Manchester United will continue their pursuit of de Ligt. Although the £55 million-rated defender has agreed to personal terms, he may need to be patient for a move to the Premier League giants.

United is working with a limited transfer budget this summer, and they may need to raise funds before making further signings. The club’s management could prioritize acquiring a top-tier defensive midfielder next. Manuel Ugarte is one of the names on their list.

The possibility of signing de Ligt may hinge on the club’s central defensive situation. Lisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans are confirmed to stay for the next season, but the futures of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are uncertain.

If either Maguire or Lindelof leaves the club, it could pave the way for de Ligt to join United. Lindelof appears to be the most likely to depart, as his contract with the club is set to expire in June of next year.
