32-goal Arsenal sensation visits Man Utd training ground to discuss potential move – Sir Jimcliffe wants to highjack Him as soon as possible before Man city comes in – Skysport journalist

Chido Obi-Martin, an exceptional youth striker from Arsenal, recently visited Manchester United’s Carrington training facility to explore the possibility of a summer transfer, according to reports by Academy Scoop.
Known for their reliable insights into youth football transfers, particularly regarding Manchester United’s academy, Academy Scoop reported on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that Obi-Martin might soon join the Old Trafford team. Despite engaging in positive discussions with Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, the 16-year-old is still considering a move.
Obi-Martin, who scored an impressive 32 goals in 19 matches for Arsenal’s under-18 team last season and has netted 11 goals in 15 appearances for Denmark’s under-17s, has attracted attention from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal has attempted to retain him with an enhanced contract offer, but he has not yet agreed to the terms of a scholarship with them.
One of the key factors in Obi-Martin’s decision-making process is the assurance of a clear path to first-team football, something he feels might not be guaranteed at Arsenal. According to Football Association regulations, he cannot sign a professional contract in England until he turns 17 in November, whereas in Germany, he could sign at 16.
Should Obi-Martin choose to join Manchester United, he would continue on schoolboy terms, with Arsenal entitled to compensation. It’s uncertain whether Manchester United can guarantee him a quicker route to first-team football, but the club’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has a track record of promoting young talents like Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo in recent seasons. This could be a significant factor in Obi-Martin’s decision to potentially make the switch to Manchester United.
