Chelsea leave Trevoh Chalobah OUT of their squad for US pre-season tour after ‘telling him to stay home’ – with defender likely to look for move away from Stamford Bridge

Trevoh Chalobah, a player who has shown commitment and dedication to Chelsea, has been excluded from the club’s pre-season tour and is now on the verge of leaving. Despite his efforts to cement his place in the team, the club has decided that he will not be part of the squad traveling to the United States today.

This decision, though difficult, comes after Chelsea’s evaluation of their defensive options. The presence of Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and Tosin Adarabioyo has led the club to conclude that there is an abundance of players in Chalobah’s position. Consequently, Chelsea is now open to receiving offers for Chalobah, having informed him to remain at home instead of joining Enzo Maresca’s final squad for the tour.

On a related note, Acheapong will be part of the squad heading to the United States. The club is eager to closely observe him during the pre-season, providing the coaching staff with the opportunity to assess his capabilities and potential contribution to the team.

Furthermore, Alfie Gilchrist will not be included in the traveling squad as he is set to go out on loan. Both Preston North End and Sheffield United have shown interest in acquiring him for the upcoming season.

These developments indicate Chelsea’s strategic approach to managing their squad, making necessary adjustments to ensure the team is well-prepared for the new season. Chalobah’s potential exit and Gilchrist’s loan move are part of a broader effort to fine-tune the roster and maximize the team’s potential for success.
