Manchester United is not the only Premier League club eyeing Bremer. Liverpool is also interested in the defender, despite their relatively quiet activity in the transfer market thus far.
Back in May, it was reported that Manchester United showed considerable interest in acquiring Bremer from Juventus. However, their focus seemed to have shifted towards Yoro and De Ligt more recently.
Corriere dello Sport notes that Bremer’s contract with Juventus includes a release clause valued at approximately £55.6 million (66 million euros), set to expire on August 10. This financial stipulation presents a significant decision for both clubs involved.
Replacing Bremer would be a challenging task for Juventus. The 27-year-old has become one of Serie A’s standout defenders in recent years, and finding a suitable replacement would be no small feat.
If Manchester United successfully signs Bremer, it could potentially end their pursuit of De Ligt. Nonetheless, a top-tier addition to their central defense is necessary, as injuries have forced manager Erik ten Hag to rely on Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelof.
Bremer’s playing style aligns well with Ten Hag’s tactics at Manchester United. As a solid and reliable defender, pairing him with Lisandro Martinez could significantly strengthen the team’s defense.
